Jermaine Poi brings over 20 years of DJ experience to every set. His decade-long residency in Melbourne saw him become a fixture at some of the city’s most popular bars and clubs, alongside extensive work for weddings, corporate events and private functions.
Jermaine’s heart is in the groove of 90’s R&B & Hip Hop, NZ & Island Reggae and Afrobeats, but his deep musical library allows him to navigate all genres flawlessly. He also personally edits songs which gives his certain tracks the quality they may normally lack for a party vibe. He can create custom mixes for special wedding moments like reception entrances or the first dance. Song selection and reading the people and environment is the key for his sets and rocking the crowd is the reward.

We hired a DJ from DJ4You for our corporate end of year boat party. We had Jermaine, who was such a fun DJ. He was super friendly, open to song requests on the night, and played from our playlists we had sent to him earlier. DJ4You is such a good company to use – they reply very fast and provide great service. We booked from them very last minute (only 2 weeks notice) and they managed to have everything sorted and run smoothly on the night! In the lead up to the big day both DJ 4 You and Jermaine were very responsive on emails and we had absolutely no complaints, a glowing review from my new husband and I! 🙌 My partner and I chose Jermaine Poi (DJ Ripz) for our wedding, and boy did he deliver! Not only was Jermaine professional on the day, he was laid back and vibing with our guests all night. We also added a gameshow style quiz into our reception and he nailed all the gameshow music timings that made this part of the night extra entertaining! He even went above and beyond to create a cool reel on IG of the night, which as newlyweds desperate to see sneak peeks of the wedding the next day we truly appreciated being able to watch back some fave moments of our ceremony and dancefloor!
