We had Nel as our DJ/MC for our wedding and she was honestly incredible. From the moment she arrived, you could tell she knew exactly what she was doing: super professional, confident, and just brought the best energy. We had so many compliments from family and friends about how amazing she was; the vibe she created was unreal, and she was just so easy to deal with the entire time.
One thing that really stood out was when our photographer needed to adjust the timeline slightly because of earlier sunset hours. She approached Nel, and it was handled seamlessly — no stress, no pushback, just sorted. The photographer was so grateful as apparently that’s not always the case! I had given a rough timeline and ideas beforehand, but I also wanted to give Nel the flexibility to do what she does best — and I’m so glad I did. She absolutely nailed it. She suggested things like where to place the shoe game and quick-fire moments, and even got the crowd completely hyped before our reception entrance — napkins waving, energy high — so when we walked in, the vibe was already there. The whole night just flowed so smoothly.
I also had a lot of song requests, and Nel handled every single one without any issues at all. She even brought out some of her own dance moves which I loved — it just added to the fun and energy of the night. When I thanked her and said how many compliments we’d received, she said, “I just love making people happy” — which honestly sums her up perfectly.
She was such a pivotal part of making our wedding everything we dreamed of. I would recommend her to absolutely everyone. Also want to mention Jason, who we dealt with throughout the whole process — he was amazing too. We added MC services later on and had to switch DJs, and he handled everything so easily and worked with us on pricing as well.

Prior to the event I spoke with Nel to go through our requirements which ranged from 12 days of Christmas to Bollywood Music and some good dance tunes and also went through the company culture and what would help us to have a good evening. We booked Nel Amore for our wedding reception. Nel gave me a call the day before and went over the information I had provided to Jan. Nel was so easy to work with, very professional. On the day, the setup was done perfectly. Nel even brought an additional handheld microphone for us to use for speeches. Nel did both a live acoustic set and a DJ set. Our guests loved the live music, it was perfect for dinner. Later we opened up the dancefloor and Nel had everyone up and dancing. The songs were epic and helped create the perfect vibe for the evening. Nel was super easy to work with and so kind.
Highly recommend working with Better Band after having such fun on our wedding day.
